It’s been about a week since my last post, and for me that’s a pretty long time. I’ve been pretty consumed lately with events, writing for other blogs, special shoots, and weddings. It seems like I’m always trying to get something done, and it’s kept me from writing. Well, I’ve got a few days till more craziness happens, so I thought I’d start sharing all the things I’ve been doing. Today let’s look at an amazing group and what we did for the 2017 Metsquerade benefiting Metavivor.
2017 Metsquerade benefiting Metavivor
Life always amazes me. The world is so interconnected it’s crazy how things turn out. I don’t remember exactly how I found out about the Metquerade event last year, but I was extremely excited to be part of the first ever event. It was after talking to the people in charge that I saw some crazy connections. Lisa, one of the founders, knew my cousin from her intern days. Then later I find out that Lisa’s children go to the same school as my own.
Metavivor is an amazing group. There is a ton of money and research out there for cancer, but not much is being done for stage 4. Metavivor is trying to change that. They raise money and it all goes toward stage 4 research.
This year things were even bigger than last year. They had more people and raised a ton of money! Last year we helped in all areas of photography, but this year we just focused on the portraits. This was probably good because we were still busy the entire night, but I did miss getting to see all the things going on and hearing the speakers.
I love being involved with these charity groups. It’s so nice to see all the people willing to help out others with so much negativity in the world. 2017 Metsquerade benefiting Metavivor am amazing event, and I can’t wait to be there next year.
