The past three months have been the normal crazy, but awesome wedding season, and now I have August to recover before I hit an even crazier September and October. I will be spending August editing and probably doing some other shoots, but coming up, I have two major events for brides: The Event Nation Bridal Show and the Dream Wedding Summit. Both are going to be a blast and a great chance to meet some amazing couples!
Two Major Events for Brides
Event Nation Bridal Expo
I’ve been participating in the Event Nation Bridal Expo for several years, and it’s always a good time. It’s a bit stressful getting our booth set up, but it’s worth it. There are usually 200-300 brides there, so I’m busy all day talking and meeting new people, which is one of the things I love about my job. On average, I think we book 1-3 weddings per show, so it’s definitely worth our time and the investment.
The Dream Wedding Summit
The other event, the Dream Wedding Summit, is actually something I thought of and I’m putting together myself. It’s going to be a 3 day live, online event. There will be 6 different wedding professionals sharing information that they think will be helpful to engaged couples. This is the type of information I wish I had back in the day. Each speaker does something different, so we will really get a good variety of topics. So far I will be talking about photography, The Event Group will talk about catering, DJ Brock Entertainment will be covering DJ stuff or music, Karie Sutton is a wedding planner, and Eventfully Yours will be talking about rentals. I’m still looking for one more speaker, so I’m hoping to find someone in the next day or so. The dates aren’t set in stone yet, but we are looking at the week of August 20th. This will be the first time I’ve ever done something like this, so it’s a bit scary, but it’s also very exciting.
Once I knock out these two big events, it’s back to shooting weddings every weekend for the next two months. I’ll make sure to keep things updated as I plan more or when I actually attend the events. If you know someone engaged, I would highly suggest they attend both events as well.
