I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again. Parks are great places for photos, whether it be family photos or engagements. One park that I haven’t used that much is Prairie Grove Battlefield Park. It’s a beautiful place, so the only real reason I haven’t done more there is because it’s not in Fayetteville. When I do go there, I love it. Today we’re looking at Lauren and Spencer, and there engagements at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park.
Engagements at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park
In the few times I’ve been there, I haven’t done that much exploring. The areas around the main entrance are very pretty, so I normally work around there and don’t go much further. At the entrance you have these old houses and fences, but you also just have trees and some open areas.
With Lauren and Spencer, we started in the open area. They brought their little dogs with them for a few shots. They were the cutest little things and easy to work with. Next, we stayed in that same area for some photos of just the two of them. The light was coming behind them and filtering through the trees, so it created a glow all around them. After that, we headed to an open field past the parking lot. I’m guessing this is part of the park, but I’m not sure. Anyway, the open field gave us the opportunity to shoot more of the sky. I had Spencer wrap her up, and from there it was just them interacting.
This was a quick shoot. I think we were doing with our engagements at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park in like 40 minutes or less. Soon I’ll be posting another engagement session where we explored a little bit further into the park for some different looks.
