Some times I am booked over a year out from a wedding, and some times I am contacted as close as a month to a wedding. The shorter time periods can cause some issues like I’m already booked or we don’t have time to meet and discuss things, but in the end, these quick weddings turn out beautifully like the rest. I recently had a Fayetteville wedding with Natanya and Les, and we met up roughly only two months before the wedding, and it was a great wedding.
Fayetteville Wedding: St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable
For a lot of smaller weddings, the bride and groom tend to choose St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable in Fayetteville. It’s a beautiful venue that I’ve mentioned several times. Before the ceremony, I was able to take family photos of Les with his closest friends and relatives. This saved us some time while we waited for Natanya to arrive
As soon as Natanya arrived, we went straight into the ceremony. I met her outside to get photos of her father walking her down the pathway, and then I snuck inside right before she came down the aisle. The ceremony was simple, no bridal party and relatively quick, but the emotions were still there.
We spent a good amount of time after the ceremony getting photos of just the two of them. Les pulled out the cowboy hat to show his true personality, and we got some cute photos of Natanya wearing his jacket as well.
Out of all of my Fayetteville weddings, this reception was in a new location for me, Scarpinon, on Dickson Street. It wouldn’t work for a giant reception, but it had much more of an intimate feel. There’s a bar, an area for eating, a dance floor and stage, another stage, which they used for the cake, and plenty of seating areas. There were speeches and a little bit of dancing, but the majority of the night was about interacting with friends and family.
This Fayetteville wedding ended with a surprise sparkler exit for the couple planned by their friends and they drove away in Les’s giant truck. It made me smile to see two people that were so happy and so many people that cared for them. It was a smaller wedding, but had just as much love as any other wedding I’ve been to.
