Today I’m continuing with my exploration of the Fayetteville wedding venues and the surrounding cities with one of the more well known venues: Pratt Place. It is so well-known that I actually considered not blogging about it because what can I say that hasn’t already been said? Well, I decided to go ahead and put my two cents in anyway.
Fayetteville Wedding Venues: Pratt Place
When I was younger, I had no idea what Pratt Place was or where it was located. It wasn’t until I got into college and started being involved in weddings did I realize there was this fantastic place so close to the Razorback stadium. For those of you that haven’t been there, across from the stadium is a road that leads up into the woods and Pratt Place. It’s so crazy because you’re about 2 minutes from the stadium, but you feel like you’re out in the woods. I don’t know how they managed that in the middle of the city. This is one of the big features of this place. You feel like you’re in the country, but you can be in town within minutes.
There are two big parts and one smaller part to Pratt Place. When you first pull up the driveway, there is a little cottage on the right. This can be used for the bridal party or just be a nice backdrop for photos. A bit further up the road is the Pratt Place Inn. It’s a beautiful southern building with a two floors and a wrap around front porch. Inside, you have several different rooms: a cigar room, a piano room which is often used for dining, a sitting room, and several upstairs bedrooms. The bridal suite is very nice. It has a large bed, a spacious area, and a balcony. The last part is the Pratt Place Barn. It is behind the inn and is in a large field. The barn has enough room for two rows of guests and a balcony above for more guests. At the back of the barn is a platform and two staircases. This is a great place for photos and where the ceremony often takes place.
The great thing about this place is all the options. You can rent out the inn or the barn and both can handle the ceremony and the reception. More people tend to use the barn, but I think either one would be a great choice for a bride.
I’ve always enjoying working at Pratt Place. The people have been kind and helpful, the venue is beautiful, and there aren’t any major restrictions placed on the photographer. Out of all the Fayetteville Wedding Venues I’ve worked at in the past 6 years, Pratt Place is in my top 5. It’s wonderful.
