Guest Blogging for Wedding Vendors

Since I’ve gone full time, I’ve been looking for things that I need to be doing with my business that I didn’t have time to do in the past. One of those things is guest blogging for wedding vendors. I’ve talked about this at some point in the past, but I never fully committed to doing it. Well, I’m going to start trying again.

Guest Blogging for Wedding Vendors

Guest blogging is pretty much what it sounds like. You write a blog for someone else and they post it on their site. This could be for someone you personally know or some extremely large and popular blog. It could also be about a variety of things. The main point is you are getting a chance to write on someone else’s forum.

The way I see it, this is a mutually beneficial situation. The owner of the blog gets to have some fresh content, maybe something they don’t know a lot about, and they don’t have to write any of it. For the guest blogger, it’s a chance to get their work published on someone else’s site. This can help with search engine optimization (SEO) and also grow their reach because now a whole new world of people are reading their writing. This could open up all types of doors.

One way to go about this is to contact some really well known blogs. The more popular the more reach you will get. Of course, the more popular, the harder it will be to get them to agree to it. I’m looking into local vendors, people I work with at weddings on a regular basis. They might not have a gigantic following, but they know me, and they know some people I don’t. It would also be easier to write something personal for them because I have had real experiences with them.

Right now I have a list of big blogs to aim for, and I’m building up a list of local vendors as well. I’m hoping my guest blogging can be a relatively reoccurring thing, maybe twice a month. If I can pull that off, I think there will some major rewards. If you have a business or blog and have any interest in a guest blogger, please let me know.
