It’s been over a week since my last post. Ashley and I went on vacation to Florida to celebrate our birthdays and our 10 year anniversary. Well, today I’m back on the blog and I’m coming with some big news. Next year I won’t be teaching anymore; instead I’m a full time photographer!
I’m a Full Time Photographer
This was not something that just suddenly came about; it’s something I’ve actually been talking about and thinking about for a good four years. Teaching has had its ups and downs, but photography has always been the thing I truly love doing.
It’s interesting that I’m writing this post on my birthday as I turn 33 because this really has been and will be a ride of faith. As most people know, Jesus started his ministry when he was 33. I am not comparing myself to Jesus by any means, but I do think it is significant that this happened at that same time. I feel like God has been getting me ready for this. A few years ago I don’t think I could have handle it, but I think I’m in a better place now. Anyway, there’s a whole bunch of interesting things that has happened in this process that has really strengthened faith. Feel free to ask me about it sometime.
I want to thank all the people that have trusted me over the years to take their photos and have helped me reach this point. I take photography very serious and I always strive to please my clients and make beautiful memories. Please let me know if there’s anything I can ever do as far as photography. I’ve shot about everything, so feel free to ask. I would really appreciate your referrals as well. I’m especially looking to build my senior photography and weddings, so if you know someone in 12th grade or someone engaged, please mention my name.
When someone asks me what I do now, I’m going to have to remember that I’m a full time photographer now. For so long I’ve said teacher and photographer. It’s a really cool thought that I really am a photographer now…period…nothing else. Thanks again and God bless.
