Intimate Wedding at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel: Andrea and Hunter

In the past few weeks, I’ve talked about elopement packages and even shared an elopement wedding, but sometimes, I have smaller weddings that aren’t elopements. Not everyone is interested in a gigantic wedding and having me around all day. Sometimes I only go to a wedding for a few hours. That was the case with Andrea and Hunter’s Intimate Wedding at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel. I believe I was only around for 2 hours, but it was quite the day to remember for many reasons.

I met up with Andrea and Hunter at Mildred B. Cooper chapel for the getting ready process. With only two hours of coverage, we had to be pretty smart with our time. We went straight into her getting ready, and then we did something cool. We had a first look with her father. I’ve done this a few times, but this one was special. He got really emotional and also it was raining, so he protected her with an umbrella.

Even with it being rainy outside, the ceremony was still pretty. All the glass at Mildred B. Cooper still let in a good amount of light. One thing that was different was that they had two boys come down the aisle. One was doing the flower petals and the other was bringing the ring. Normally you have a flower girl, but this worked just as well.

So, it kept raining through the ceremony and didn’t stop. We did the majority of our photos inside, but we did run outside to grab a few. That was really about it, and my time was done! Not sure what they did afterwards, but I bet they enjoyed their time together.

Rain can really be a bummer for a wedding, but Andrea and Hunter didn’t seem to mind. This wasn’t just a little rain either. This was actually the day of the crazy flooding back in April! I know a lot of weddings kind of fell apart that day, but I was lucky to be doing an Intimate Wedding at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel. If it had been an all day event with hundreds of people, that would have been tough.
