I don’t know if you’ve seen it as much as I have, but people are getting engaged left and right. I know I’ve seen at least 4 engagements on Facebook, and that’s with me just randomly scrolling. It’s definitely engagement season.
It’s Engagement Season!
This is an exciting time of year for me because it’s when I will meet and book a lot of couples. I have a bridal show in a few weeks, and during that show, I’ll talk to about 100 brides! I know I can’t book all of them, but I really do enjoy just getting to meet people. That’s one of my favorite things about my job.
So, there’s a few little favors I’d like to ask. One, if you are planning on proposing or know someone that is going to propose, I’d love to be there to capture the moment. In all my years of being a wedding photographer, I’ve never actually photographed a proposal. I’ve had a few opportunities, but it never worked out with my schedule. I really would love to get to do that this year.
Two, if you know someone that got engaged, please pass our info along to them. There are a few different ways. Sometimes they will ask for recommendations, and that’s the easiest. Other times, you might have to bring it up yourself. Don’t feel like you have to get pushy, but if you’ve had a good experience with us, so tell them about your experience. If you have your album nearby, just show it to them. Also, we do video if they’re already set on a photographer.
I’ve been extremely lucky to have wonderful couples, and I really would love to meet some of your friends. I’m sure they are just as awesome as you are. I’m not really sure how long engagement season will last, but I’d really appreciate it if you’d help me out with this. You guys rock!
