Bridal shows are fun, and I’ve been doing them for years. They are a great chance to get my work out there for people to see and talk to around hundred brides in one day. I’ve mainly focused on ones in Rogers and Springdale, but this May, I’m going to be attending the Kiss the Bride Expo in Little Rock.
Kiss The Bride Expo in Little Rock
The Kiss the Bride Expo is a national bridal show, so it’s a pretty big deal. I went to one about a year and a half ago in Fayetteville at the Chancellor Hotel. The event was very well run and enjoyable, but the venue wasn’t the best place. The room was small, so everything was crowded. I still managed to book three or so weddings from the event.
About three weeks ago, Ralph, the person in charge of the event, contacted me about doing the show in Little Rock. I’ve wanted to explore the Little Rock market, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to meet some brides in Little Rock and hopefully set up a few weddings to get my foot in the door.
There are a few issues that I’m going to have to deal with. One, travel. It will take me roughly 3 hours of more to drive there and then 3 more to drive back. I plan on driving down that Saturday, but I would have to work the show on Sunday and drive back that day. That’s a long day. Second, bringing my setup would be difficult. We normally set up a pretty big wall for displaying the photos, but this would require me bringing a trailer and someone to help set it up. To fix this, I’ve decided to make a much easier wall. It will basically connect together. It won’t look as good as my normal setup, but it’s the only thing that will work.
I’ve still got a few months until the show, so I’ll be printing some new photos and making a plan. I’m really excited about working the Kiss the Bride Expo. It’s going to be something new and I’m expecting some big results.
