One of the greatest things about being a photographer and having my own business is that I can give back or help people whenever I want. Big business or people that work for a company can’t really make those decisions. Over the past three years, I’ve been helping out and volunteering for my church and other organizations like Sheep Dog Impact Assistance. Now that I’m full time, I have more free time, so I’m looking for local organizations to help.
Looking for Local Organizations to Help
In the past I’ve done a few different things for these organizations. The main thing I’ve done is shoot at big galas. We set up a portrait station, take photos of the guests, and print them off. Besides that, I’ve also covered events or just shot special projects for people.
I’d like to keep doing what I’ve been doing but expand. I’d like to find a few more organizations to help with what I currently do, but I’d also like to donate to other organizations. Many of the organizations have silent auctions, and this would be a great place to donate to. I could donate different types of sessions, but the majority would probably be family sessions.
In April we have two galas we will be covering, and I hope to have more in the future. I’m Looking for Local Organizations to Help, so if you are involved in an organization or just have some sort of connection, please let me know what I can do to help. There’s nothing I’d rather do than to help out a worthy organization.
