Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photographers: Kari and Anthony

Our military is pretty awesome, so I’m sure all the other Northwest Arkansas wedding photographers feel the same way when shooting a wedding for someone in the military. Well, for Kari’s wedding, I got that opportunity.

I really had never met Kari or Anthony before their wedding day, so everything I learned about them was a surprise. Lucky for me, they are all around good people. They smiled all day no matter what was going on, and they made my day so easy. From what I found out, both Kari and Anthony are music people. Anthony was actually joining the Marines to play music, which I had never heard of. Pretty cool way to serve.

Northwest Arkansas wedding photographers, check it out!

There ceremony took place at the Jone’s Center chapel in Springdale. I had been to the Jone’s Center several times before, but I had never actually been into the chapel. It’s lovely and spacious and more Northwest Arkansas wedding photographers and brides should check it out.

Kari and Anthony had a first look before the ceremony, and Anthony could not stop smiling the whole time before he saw her and after. They both were just so happy! There wasn’t a ton of room for portraits, but we managed to hide all the buildings and get some cute ones.

During the ceremony, there were some special touches. One, they had a dual pastor setup. It was really interesting to have them switching back and forth. Because of their musical background, they also had several friends playing instruments and singing.

After the ceremony, we traveled up to Crystal Bridges area for some bridal party photos. This area has some of the best options for photos in Northwest Arkansas. Things started off well with some group shots on the stairs, but then, out of nowhere came a torrential rain. We could actually hear it coming, and we had to make a break for the museum. They were nice enough to let us stand inside as it passed. I didn’t want to waste time, so I used the glass windows to get some portraits of Kari and Anthony individually and together. A few minutes later, the rain cleared and we knocked out some more.

Since their wedding, Anthony has gone off to boot camp, which I’m sure has been really tough for Kari. It made me smile, though, to see some photos of them reuniting just a few days ago. These two are great, and they really make Northwest Arkansas wedding photographers, like myself, glad I’m in the business.
