Life is all about connections, and it always amazes me the connections I find in the wedding world. It seems like at every wedding I see someone I know or I find that we are connected in some way. Remmy and Jonathan’s wedding at The Barn at Hat Creek Ranch was full of connections!
The way Remmy found me was our first big connection: the Ho family recommended me. My parents have been friends with the Ho family for quite some time. A few years ago, though, I taught their daughter and did her senior portraits, so I really got to know them. Later, I found another connection. The owner of The Barn at Hat Creek Ranch knows my aunt and does a book club with her. This ended up being pretty important because I left a piece of equipment there, and she got it back to me. Anyway, having these connections made the wedding even better.
Remmy and Jonathan’s wedding was so entertaining. When I was going through them, I laughed out loud several times. The wedding party had quite the personality. During the getting ready process, the group photos, and the dancing, they were doing crazy stuff and just having a great time. We had a groomsman smelling Jonathan’s flower, Remmy’s sister doing some weird finger thing that looked like ET, and another bridesmaid leading the dance line around the whole barn.
I also loved some of the unique aspects they had. Before Jonathan and all the guys came down, his brother sang a song to him. Then, at the reception, Jonathan taught everyone a dance that they all tried desperately to do. They did a rice exit, which normally isn’t unique, but Jonathan got hit in the face so badly that I will remember it forever!
This was only my second wedding at the Barn at Hat Creek Ranch. The first one was awesome, and Remmy and Jonathan’s wedding definitely rocked as well. Check out all the fun and goofiness and of course the beautiful love between these two and if you didn’t see her bridal portraits, check those out as well!
