Every company has some kind of reputation, and Chick-fil-A probably is best known for having polite and hard working staff members. Every time I’ve been there I’ve been helped quickly and received special attention. Other fast food places just don’t have that atmosphere. Anyway, I felt the same atmosphere at Elaina and Chris’s Arkansas wedding. This makes sense, though, because both Elaina and Chris work at Chick-fil-A and Chris’s father owns a store.
Arkansas Wedding of Chick-Fil-A Employees
The whole day was at Cross Church in Sprindale, which is a gigantic place. Both Elaina and Chris got ready at the church in different sides, so they wouldn’t see each other. There were some pretty interesting parts to the getting ready process. One, the boys were being boys. They were playing Halo on one TV while the other guys were watching college football on the other. The girls were much more tame, but they still were enjoying the day. Chris and Elaina exchanged gifts, but I really laughed at the bag. Chris used a super hero bag, and Elaina was actually really excited about it. I didn’t see that coming.
I took the guys first to do some group shots. Chris has some pretty crazy friends. There was some weird poses, hugging, and even a crotch shot between brothers. It was all in good fun though. We didn’t have time to do anything with the girls before the ceremony, but we did have an emotional first look for Elaina’s father, and I got some beautiful photos of Elaina.
The ceremony site wasn’t extremely decorate since it was a church, but they did have a really big board for guests to sign, some neat candles in the aisle, and the best part was Elaina’s sign. Right at the back of the aisle was a giant sign that spelled out Love with lights. This way Chris would see it right before she walked down. Another emotional part of the ceremony was a group prayer. Family members circled the couple and took turns praying over them. I managed to get high enough and at the right angle to sneak a photo of Chris with his father.
The reception took place in a big room; it might have been a place for the teens of the church, but you couldn’t tell. It was large and had a big stage. The stage was set up for the bridal party to eat. In the back food was placed and the cakes. Chris had an Atlanta Falcons cake, which I had never seen before at an Arkansas wedding. Around the dance floor were two sets of candles, that kind of set the mood.
The dancing was the highlight of the reception. Chris has quite the personality and it really came out in their first dance. He had a serious look on his face and was performing very fancy moves, but it was obviously for laughs. The father/daughter was a tear jerker. I caught some very emotional moments between the two of them. After all of this we had some interesting dollar dances. Again, Chris tended to be the crazy one, while Elaina was a bit more reserved.
As far as other details go, there were about two hundred little presents in the back for the guests. I never got the chance to see them, so the contents are still a mystery to me. They also had a large assortment of little desserts for people to munch on.
The day ended with a sparkler send off outside the church. Elaina finished her Arkansas wedding by waving out the window to all of her super kind, happy friends. It amazes me how good people attract good people. Every one at the wedding was really just a big ball of happiness, and it made me smile the whole day.
