I just finished a crazy June. I believe we had 5 weddings. Now I’m trying to get caught up on sharing all of the shoots that I didn’t have time to share. A few weeks ago, I shared Russ and Staci’s engagement session, and now I get to show off her amazing bridal portraits in Van Buren.
Staci’s Bridal Portraits in Van Buren
Over the years, I have found tons of beautiful places in Northwest Arkansas for portraits. It’s always nice to go someplace new, especially when it is special to the bride. This was the case for Staci’s bridal portraits. I ended up traveling out to Van Buren to her family’s farm.
I had never been there before, so the first thing we did was a tour of the place so I could check out all the locations. They have a lot of land, so there were plenty of great spots. We ended up using a pond, an opening in a field, some spots in the woods, and a big hill.
There were a few things we had to overcome to make this shoot work, but we had some wonderful help from her parents and things turned out. It was a hot day, so we tried to stay in the shade as much as possible, but some of the best places were in the sun, so we moved quickly. The next issue was moving Staci from one spot to the next and keeping her dress clean. Luckily for us, her father had an off-roading vehicle, and we just surrounded her with sheets to avoid the mess. The last issue is something I always have to deal with in nature: ticks. I hate them, but they sure seem to love me. At one point, I saw them just crawling on my pants. Amazingly, in the end, Staci avoided all of these problems.
Staci’s wedding was a few weeks ago, and it was just as lovely and fun as her engagements and bridals. I’ll be working on her photos soon. Hopefully, I’ll be able to share her wedding photos in the next week or so. For now, check out her beautiful bridals portraits in Van Buren.
